He emphasized that this achievement is significant for the healthcare system of the Kyrgyz Republic, considering that chronic kidney diseases remain one of the main medical problems in the country.
Mamadaliev also noted that in recent years, the state has fully taken on the financing of treatment for patients in need of hemodialysis. Previously, many citizens had to seek help through social networks due to a lack of funds for treatment.
However, the First Deputy Minister warned that hemodialysis does not fully address the problem of chronic kidney failure. The primary treatment option is organ transplantation. However, not all patients can undergo such procedures for medical reasons, and in such cases, their treatment is also funded by the state.
Since 2023, the Kyrgyz-Turkish Hospital has also begun performing organ transplant surgeries in collaboration with Turkish specialists. During this period, 10 surgeries have been completed, and another 10 are planned for the future.
