The President called for dialogue in the Middle East
Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, expressed his position regarding the current conflict in the Middle Eastern countries. He called on the states of the region for constructive discussion and cooperation.
The head of state expressed concern over the escalating tensions and their negative impact on the Arab peoples.
“It is extremely regrettable that the conflict is flaring up in the holy month of Orozo — a time that should be dedicated to spiritual purification, charity, forgiveness, and mutual respect. We feel the bitterness and pain of the losses of the people in the region and condemn any actions that have led to such tragedies,” Japarov noted.
He also emphasized the Kyrgyz Republic's commitment to uniting the efforts of the global community for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and international law.
“We call on all parties to exercise restraint, to immediately cease hostilities, and to do everything possible to swiftly return to peaceful dialogue,” the president added.
