The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved the decision to reclassify a land plot located in the Salam-Alyk rural area of the Uzgen district in the Osh region from agricultural use and state forest fund to the category of water fund.

The total area of the plot is 50.16 hectares, and it is state-owned. This decision has been made to facilitate the construction of debris flow protection structures in this area.

The Uzgen District State Administration has been tasked with making the necessary changes to the land accounting documents, developing and approving urban planning documentation, and ensuring that the plot is used strictly for its intended purpose.

Additionally, local authorities must ensure the effective functioning of systems for the safe drainage of rainwater and meltwater, as well as comply with environmental standards and safety regulations during the operation of this infrastructure.

The document will come into effect in 10 days.
