To implement this initiative, it is planned to attract funding from the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) in the amount of $14.5 million in the form of a loan and $1.2 million in the form of a grant. The remaining $3.9 million will be allocated from the republic's budget.
As previously emphasized by Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Ulukbek Janibekov, there is a serious traffic congestion problem in Osh.
“The issue of opening the road from Babraimov and Tursunbaev streets to the new market is relevant. This will allow residents of Bishkek and other regions to conveniently reach the market,” Janibekov noted.
The committee supported the ratification of this agreement, and now the document will be submitted for consideration at the general meeting of parliament.
