According to a Turmush correspondent, as a result of the voting, none of the candidates were able to secure the support of the majority of the deputies.
During the session, two candidates were proposed:
- Askhat Talant uulu from the "Emgek" faction;
- Emilbek Satarbaev, nominated independently (from the "Adilet" faction).
A counting commission was formed from among the deputies to conduct the voting. A total of 37 deputies participated in the meeting.
Voting results:
- Askhat Talant uulu received 20 votes;
- Emilbek Satarbaev — 16 votes.
According to the established rules, to be elected chairman, a candidate must receive at least 21 votes. Since neither candidate reached this number, the elections were declared invalid. The candidates are not allowed to participate again in the elections for this position in the current process.
After this, a 10-minute break was announced.
