The government of Kyrgyzstan has approved a new procedure regarding the restriction of access to websites containing pornographic content. Resolution No. 154 was signed by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev on March 6, 2026.

This document serves to implement the Law that prohibits access to internet resources with elements of pornography in the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to this resolution, specific mechanisms will be established for identifying and blocking such websites within the country.

In addition, changes have also affected the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, which will now maintain a registry of blocked pornographic websites and make decisions regarding the suspension or restriction of access to resources that violate legislation.

The aim of this law is to protect information security and safeguard citizens, including minors, from unacceptable content, as well as to uphold norms of public morality in the online space.

The resolution will come into effect ten days after its official publication.
