
The main topic of discussion was the possibility of increasing the country's aircraft fleet through new airplanes, as well as improving cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
Japarov emphasized the importance of interaction with Airbus, noting that the signed agreement would be a significant step forward for civil aviation. This will help enhance the reliability of transportation and expand air communication opportunities.
The president also noted the active development of the aviation sector in Kyrgyzstan, including the modernization of airports and the expansion of regional routes. While previously only four airports were operational, now all 11 are functioning, and the construction of the Jalal-Abad International Airport is ongoing.
The head of state pointed out that Kyrgyzstan is close to completing the process of being removed from the European Union's blacklist for aviation safety, and it is expected that the final audit by European experts will take place this month.
Johan Pelissier highly appreciated the reforms in Kyrgyzstan's aviation sector, noting the consistent development and improvement of flight safety. He expressed interest in expanding cooperation not only in commercial aviation but also in logistics and transportation.
Meanwhile, Maurice Prendergast added that the new airplanes planned for purchase fully comply with international standards. He also mentioned that specialists from the company would come to Kyrgyzstan to assist in mastering the operational systems and technical features of the new aircraft.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further mutually beneficial cooperation and the continuation of partnerships in the aviation sector.
