At today's parliamentary session, Deputy Tabyldy Muratbekov stated that ethnic Kyrgyz who moved from the Murghab district and became citizens of Kyrgyzstan are experiencing pressure from Tajik authorities.

According to the parliamentarian, despite having Kyrgyz passports, young people are still being drafted into the Tajik army. Tajik authorities are applying pressure on the relatives of these young people who remain in Murghab. Parents and brothers are being summoned to the police and detained.

There are cases where Kyrgyz passports are confiscated from our citizens who come to visit their relatives.
