
From 2021 to 2025, Kumtor generated 5 billion 115 million dollars, which is equivalent to over 440 billion soms. This was reported by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, during a meeting held at "Yntymak Ordo".
The budget received 1 billion 176 million dollars in the form of tax and mandatory payments, amounting to over 100 billion soms.
Since 1994, dividends from Kumtor have totaled only 100 million dollars, while in the last four years this amount has increased to 441 million dollars (approximately 38 billion soms).
Kumtor has become a reliable source of income for Kyrgyzstan, supporting the financing of social programs and infrastructure projects.
This decision, which has historical significance, represents an important step towards strengthening the economic independence of the country.
