The deputy called to provide food for detainees in the temporary detention facility.
According to the parliamentarian, she was approached by the families of the detained, who expressed dissatisfaction that their loved ones are not receiving adequate nutrition in the IVS.
“Relatives are forced to bring food three times a day, but not all of it reaches the detainees. I remind you that they are not criminals whose guilt has been proven. It is necessary to ensure their rights to food,” Mavlyanova noted, addressing the representatives of the State Penitentiary Service (GSIN).
Deputy Chairman of the GSIN Nurlan Sarchayev reported that the amount allocated for three meals a day in the IVS ranges from 120 to 160 soms per day.
However, the deputy emphasized that this data often remains merely formal and does not reflect the real state of affairs.
