“Strict and serious leaders are needed now”
Beremet Baryktabasova, chairwoman of the Medical Union, addressed the president of the country regarding the recent dismissal of the Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov.
She emphasized that the medical sector currently needs strict and serious leaders like Dosmambetov.
“Our healthcare system has never had so much motivation and significant tasks for its leaders. We can state that the sector is on the brink of extinction due to the takeover of state power in the field of drug supply and laboratory services. Key areas of medicine are experiencing a serious decline. This minister instilled hope in us. Please keep him in office. If his appointment as Minister of Health is seen as an exile, then send him to this 'exile' place. He should not be removed due to political events,” she noted.
It is worth noting that two ministers were dismissed the day before: Kanibek Dosmambetov, Minister of Health, and Bakyt Torobaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
