He confirmed that his nephew is mentioned in the recording
Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, provided a comment to "Azattyk" regarding the audio recording that circulated on social media.
According to him, his nephew, Erkin Torobaev, the son of his biological brother, is indeed present in the recording.
Torobaev stated that Kamchybek Tashiev, the former chairman of the State Committee for National Security, approached him for assistance in selling a plot of land owned by his relative. The plot is located near the "Barcelona" academy in the city of Manas, and Tashiev requested to sell it at a lower price.
“I rarely communicate with my nephew, and to clarify the situation, I contacted my brother with the question: ‘I heard that Erkin has a plot, and they want to acquire it; can you connect us?’ After that, I did not inquire about the sale price or the terms of the deal. Recently, I heard rumors that part of Erkin's property was allegedly seized. To clarify the situation, I called him and only asked clarifying questions,” Torobaev explained.
