The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries discussed the prospects of Kyrgyz-Cambodian cooperation.
On February 23, 2026, in Geneva, during the high-level session of the UN Human Rights Council and the disarmament conference, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and Prak Sokhonn, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the negotiations, current issues and possible directions for the development of Kyrgyz-Cambodian cooperation were discussed. The ministers expressed interest in enhancing political interaction, expanding the legal framework, increasing the volume of trade and economic ties, as well as student exchanges. The parties also paid attention to coordinating actions within the UN and other aspects of the international agenda.
As a result of the meeting, readiness to further strengthen bilateral ties was confirmed, including the organization of mutual high-level visits and the holding of subsequent political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs.
