Kim Jong Un has been re-elected as General Secretary of the Workers' Party of North Korea
In an official statement, it was noted that the congress unanimously supported the proposal to re-elect Kim Jong Un to this key position in the party.
Kim Jong Un has held a leadership position in the country since 2011, succeeding his father Kim Jong Il, who ruled the state for 17 years, starting in 1994.
Interestingly, Kim Jong Il also came to power after the death of his father, the founder of North Korea, Kim Il Sung.
