Kyrgyzstan congratulated Switzerland on its chairmanship in the OSCE in 2026

On February 23, against the backdrop of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with Ignazio Cassis, the head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported this event.

During the discussions, emphasis was placed on key aspects of Kyrgyz-Swiss cooperation, including political dialogue, trade and economic relations, as well as the implementation of the cooperation program for 2026–2029. The parties also discussed joint actions within the framework of international organizations.
Jeenbek Kulubaev congratulated the Swiss side on the upcoming chairmanship in the OSCE in 2026 and confirmed readiness for active interaction within this organization.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed important issues related to the development of trade and economic ties, attracting investments, as well as cooperation in tourism and joint projects.

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland, as well as in developing a constructive dialogue.
