The ex-head of the General Staff may replace Kunduzbek Sulaymanov in the Jogorku Kenesh.

Today, the Central Election Commission will consider the application of Deputy Kunduzbek Suimanov from the Jogorku Kenesh, who has decided to voluntarily resign from his position.

According to the current electoral legislation, if a deputy resigns early, their mandate passes to the next candidate on the list. In electoral district No. 14, the next candidate on the list is Rayimberdi Duyshenbiev, who received support from 6,605 voters, which constitutes 12.24 percent.

Rayimberdi Duyshenbiev is a major general and a career military officer. He is a graduate of the Dair Asanov Military Lyceum and the Border Institute of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2013-2016 — Chairman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2016-2020 — Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.
