At the parliamentary meeting where the bill on state awards was discussed, Deputy Dastan Jumabekov expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the translation of the document from Russian to Kyrgyz. He noted that excuses regarding technical shortcomings in the translation are unacceptable.

The deputy requested that Justice Minister Ayaz Bayetov read out some articles, the content of which is unclear in Kyrgyz.

“There is no sense in this, even though it concerns important matters. It is shameful to justify that the law was originally written in Russian and that the translation into Kyrgyz turned out to be unsuccessful. What would have happened if this law had gone unnoticed?” Jumabekov exclaimed.

Minister Bayetov acknowledged the deputy's correctness and promised to pay attention to his remarks.

It should be noted that Dastan Jumabekov has raised similar issues before. Previously, former parliamentary speaker Turgunbek uulu Nurlanbek also emphasized that bills should, first and foremost, be prepared in the Kyrgyz language.
