Zheenbek Kulubaev held a meeting with the delegation of the European Parliament
The meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and the delegation of the European Parliament took place recently, as reported in the official release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the discussions, topics related to bilateral cooperation, inter-parliamentary communication, and regional issues were addressed.
Jeenbek Kulubaev provided information to European partners about the political and economic reforms being carried out in Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing their significance for the sustainable development of the country. He also presented major investment projects, such as the construction of the "Kambar-Ata-1" hydropower plant and the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway. The Minister highlighted the importance of attracting modern technologies from Europe, noting the strategic role of transport integration and energy security for the region.
When discussing regional cooperation issues, he noted that stability in Central Asia has been achieved thanks to the joint efforts of the countries in the region to strengthen good neighborly relations, trust, and constructive dialogue.
The concluding part of the meeting took place in an open discussion format, where the Minister answered questions from members of the European Parliament on current and sensitive topics. In particular, he clearly articulated the position of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding secondary sanctions, explaining the measures taken by the government and reaffirming its commitment to international obligations.
Members of the European Parliament also received detailed comments on important aspects of regional policy, including the main challenges and initiatives facing Central Asia.
