Talant Mamytov identified the mistake made by the Jogorku Kenesh regarding the "letter 75"
The deputy pointed out that even in difficult times, the parliament remained resilient. "In 2020, when the country was on the brink of crisis, the parliament called for unity, resisting political intrigues. I was the head of the VI convocation, and we were able to reconcile disparate sides. Returning to the parliament, I am glad to see both old and new deputies, who represent a professional youth. Despite the presence of five deputy groups, we have one common goal - to work for the benefit of the country," Mamytov stated.
Commenting on recent events related to the appeal from a group of 75 citizens, he stated that all contentious issues must be resolved exclusively through legal channels, avoiding intrigues and pressure.
"The parliament does not have the authority to legally assess the possibility of early presidential elections. In such cases, it would be more appropriate to immediately refer to the Constitutional Court, and the issue would be resolved calmly. The speaker must act as a crisis manager and follow the regulations. The law must remain paramount, and all actions must be within the legal framework. We take an oath and must adhere firmly to this," he added.
Mamytov also noted that he supported the candidacy of Marlen Mamataliyev for the position of speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh.
"I wish you good luck. I hope that you will avoid the mistakes of the past and will lead the parliament fairly and legally, ensuring the unity of the deputies," Mamytov addressed the new speaker.
In addition, he thanked the voters of multi-mandate district No. 13, noting that the mandate received is a "amanat" and a great responsibility.
