The deputy proposes to grant Cholpon-Ata the status of a tourist city
He emphasized that this measure would allow for the creation of an exemplary tourist center in the region, as well as systematize issues related to infrastructure and landscaping.
“The main road is already ready, and a significant influx of tourists is expected during the summer period. This year, a SCO summit and the World Nomad Games are planned to be held here. The city needs preparation,” noted Muratbekov.
He also added that a Chinese company has begun construction of a bypass road in Cholpon-Ata, while simultaneously working on projects.
“It is important to include the village of Bosteri in the project to reduce transportation loads and avoid traffic jams during the tourist season,” the deputy emphasized.
According to him, this initiative aims at the comprehensive development of the Issyk-Kul resort area and improving service quality in anticipation of major international events.
