According to information provided by the information policy department of the president's office, Omuraliev will also represent Kyrgyzstan in several international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, the World Food Programme, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
Previously, this position was held by Talai Bazarbaev.
Ermek Omuraliev is an experienced diplomat who has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the mid-1990s. Throughout his career, he has held various positions both in the central office of the Ministry and in foreign representations. His portfolio includes leading the department of economic diplomacy, where he focused on attracting investments, developing exports and tourism, as well as working in the field of civil aviation.
