The president pointed out that this swift decision, in his opinion, helped protect his friend.
“The people who were around Kamchybek, whether they were ‘aksakals’ or ‘koksakals,’ were leading him off the right path,” Japarov noted.
He added that some individuals, using Tashiev's name, began to approach deputies and other influential people with calls to “switch to the side of the general.”
“If I had not dismissed Tashiev, the pressure from such people could have led to an even greater split in the government apparatus and society, as well as possible conflicts. Therefore, I deemed it necessary to relieve him of his position. For me, stability in the country is above all,” the president concluded.
