At the meeting of the ЖК, MP Bakyt Tentishev raised the issue of the eviction of residents from apartments located in the Military Town of Kant. According to him, people are turning to him for help in this difficult situation.

The deputy reported that four apartment owners have already been evicted, and a lawsuit has been filed regarding another 20. “We met with local residents a year ago, and the situation in the town leaves much to be desired: there are no proper roads or playgrounds, and the buildings were constructed in the 1960s. People are asking for help. I understand that the Ministry of Defense is busy with the construction of new facilities, but support is needed in Kant,” noted Bakyt Tentishev.

He added that the key issue lies with the boiler house, which has not yet been transferred to the balance of either the Kant city administration or the Ministry of Defense.

The Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ruslan Mukambetov, confirmed that the department is ready to transfer the boiler house to the city administration at any time. “The main problem is the need to purchase an additional boiler, for which there are no financial resources. We will discuss this issue with the Cabinet of Ministers,” he added.

Bakyt Tentishev clarified that in response to his inquiry, the Ministry of Finance indicated readiness to allocate funds if a request is made. “In fact, it doesn’t matter whose balance the boiler house is on; funds will still be allocated from the budget. Let the Cabinet make a decision on this matter,” the deputy concluded.
