Although some sources claimed that Tashiev was completely leaving his positions, he only left his government posts.
Tashiev continues to engage in several important roles.
He is the co-chairman of the "Ata-Jurt" party, founded in 2006 in collaboration with Sadyr Japarov. In September 2024, Tashiev announced that the party would not participate in the upcoming elections.
Since 2008, he has also held the position of Vice President of the Boxing Federation.
As of February 2024, Tashiev became the President of the Kyrgyz Football Union, where he was the sole candidate.
In his inaugural speech, he emphasized that football is not only a popular sport but also an important aspect of the country's image and international status.
He stated: "President Sadyr Japarov supports the development of football and actively monitors its condition. Previously, state support was insufficient, but starting this year, we will begin to allocate the necessary funds. However, mere financing will not solve all problems; without state support and the use of administrative resources, we will not achieve results," he emphasized.
Additionally, he noted the need to learn from those countries that have achieved success in football at the national level.
Tashiev added: "We are also starting this journey and believe that it will yield positive results, although it will take time. First, we need to address staffing issues, improve the qualifications of coaches and referees, as well as specialists in the field of football. We will work on the reconstruction and construction of stadiums, improving the material and technical base," he shared his plans, adding: "To implement all our ideas, unity and cooperation are necessary."
In June 2025, Kamchybek Tashiev was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin. Artem Novikov, representing the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, was appointed as his deputy.
According to the regulations of the Board of Trustees, its main task is to promote the development of the university, uphold the traditions of classical education, and prepare highly qualified specialists capable of addressing current issues in modern conditions, as well as implementing the latest technologies in the educational process.
