A draft of the new Constitution has been published in Kazakhstan, and the date for the referendum has been set.

According to Akord, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has signed a decree to hold a national referendum on March 15, 2026, dedicated to constitutional reform.

The draft of the new Constitution was published in the media on February 12.

The question to be voted on will be: "Do you support the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the draft of which was presented in the media on February 12, 2026?"

In anticipation of this event, members of the Constitutional Commission presented Tokayev with the results of their work on the draft. The President noted that the new Constitution symbolizes the completion of institutional changes in Kazakhstan, reflects current social values and principles of state policy, and lays the "long-term foundations for further progressive development of the country."
