Zheenbek Kulubayev participated in a meeting with the Federal President of Germany




On February 11, 2026, a meeting took place in Berlin between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubayev, and the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, which was also attended by the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries. This information was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, Kulubayev conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. He noted that the high-level visits that took place in 2023 and 2024 were an important step in the development of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany. In this context, the minister emphasized the Kyrgyz side's interest in deepening partnership relations in the areas of economy, investment, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.

Kulubayev also pointed out that, thanks to the political will and mutual understanding between the leaders of Central Asian countries, it has been possible to significantly strengthen cooperation and sustainable development in the region, creating favorable conditions for dialogue in the "Central Asia - Germany" format.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for his part, positively assessed the strengthening of stability and security in Central Asia. He emphasized the enormous potential of the region in the fields of energy, trade, and transportation, stating Germany's intention to continue cooperation with the Central Asian countries. The President also recalled his trip to Kyrgyzstan and noted the relevance of the issue of glacier melting and the need for active interaction on climate change issues.
