At the event dedicated to the opening of the kindergarten "Köktöm" after major repairs, which took place on February 11, the mayor noted that they respect Tashiev's position and his statement about the need to comply with the president's decision.
“Tashiev is my friend, and I am part of his team. He openly expressed his point of view, and you all are probably aware of this. Their friendship, based on shared experiences and common values, should not become a subject of politicization. During the presidency of Sadyr Nurkhojaevich and General Tashiev, significant changes have occurred in the country. Of course, there are both successes and difficulties — the further development of events will show time. I have already expressed my position,” added Toktorbaev.
Regarding Tashiev's health condition, the mayor reported that he has five stents in his heart, one of which has shifted. Tashiev asked the president for permission to spend 15 days in Germany for stent adjustment and treatment.
“I support the president's decision. If I am told ‘leave now,’ I will simply write a statement and leave,” the mayor clarified.
When journalists asked about Tashiev's return to Kyrgyzstan, Toktorbaev replied: “I cannot say for sure. I hope he returns soon.”
