The possible resignation of Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu will be discussed by the deputies after his return from an official visit to Turkey. This was reported by sources in the parliament, specifying that no official statements have been made yet.

Nevertheless, debates about potential successors for the position of Speaker have already begun:

Ulan Primov;
Medербек Алиев;
Курманкул Зулушев.

It is worth noting that Turgunbek uulu is in Turkey along with deputies Alisher Kozuyev, Kunduzbek Sulaymanov, Akylbek Tumonbaev, Nurbek Sydygaliev, Eldar Sulaymanov, Gulai Mashrapova, and Elvira Surabaldiyeva. The visit will last until February 11.

It is also reported that Kamchybek Tashiev has been dismissed from the position of head of the State National Security Committee and that three of his deputies have been dismissed as well.
