In 2026, 75 enterprises for processing agricultural products will be launched in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kyrgyzstan plans to launch 75 new agricultural processing enterprises by 2026. This was announced by Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee dedicated to agricultural policy and ecology.

He noted that the compiled list of enterprises takes into account the characteristics of each region and the availability of raw material resources.

The minister also added that by 2030, it is planned to increase the total number of companies in the processing sector to 385.

Currently, there are 483 large and medium-sized processing enterprises, 40 trade and logistics centers, about 15,000 small businesses, 264 storage facilities for vegetables and fruits, as well as 119 slaughter points operating in the republic.
