The party of the Prime Minister of Japan won the early parliamentary elections
In the early parliamentary elections in Japan, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), led by Sanae Takaichi, achieved an impressive victory, securing 316 out of 465 seats. This is the highest result for the LDP since its founding in 1955.

This victory has provided the party with a constitutional majority in the lower house of parliament, opening new opportunities for implementing reforms.

U.S. President Donald Trump has already congratulated Sanae Takaichi on her "tremendous victory," as reported by NHK. In his message on the social network Truth Social, he expressed hope for the successful implementation of conservative policies in the spirit of peace and strength.

Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who took office in the fall of 2025 after the resignation of Shigeru Ishiba, aims to strengthen her power by gaining the support of the people. She intends to focus on a more active defense policy and increasing government spending to stimulate economic growth and stabilize the budget.

Trump's congratulations came even before the official completion of the vote count, highlighting the significance of the election results. The LDP now has the opportunity to promote its initiatives in parliament, which could significantly impact the political situation in the country.
