On February 5, 2026, during his working visit to Bahrain, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, met with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, Abdallah bin Adel Fakhro. This information was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, issues of deepening economic and investment cooperation were discussed, as well as opportunities for increasing trade volumes between the countries. An important item on the agenda was the proposal for a visit by a business delegation from Bahrain to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Second Investment Forum, which will take place on April 24-25, 2026, in Bishkek and will gather representatives from Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Maripov invited the minister to participate in the forum as the head of the Bahraini delegation, emphasizing the significance of this event for the further development of bilateral relations.
In response, Abdallah Fakhro expressed his sincere gratitude for the invitation and confirmed that he would try to attend the forum along with representatives from Bahrain, noting the importance of the upcoming event.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on the discussed issues and to intensify efforts to strengthen economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Bahrain.
