The Cabinet wants to tighten control over ethyl alcohol and alcoholic products
This initiative has been developed as part of the implementation of the provisions of the Law "On the State Monopoly on the Production, Import, Storage, and Sale of Ethyl Alcohol and State Regulation of Alcohol Production."
The draft document aims to significantly tighten the requirements for companies using ethyl alcohol for medical, veterinary, and technical purposes, as well as in the production of perfumes and alcoholic products.
Entrepreneurs wishing to be included in the list of specialized consumers will need to provide a complete package of documentation, including production regulations, formulations indicating the alcohol content, as well as confirmations of the availability of necessary equipment and compliance with sanitary standards for premises. An inspection report of the production facilities will also be required.
Furthermore, the procedure for control is clarified: the authorized body will be granted the right to record cases of improper use of ethyl alcohol. The draft includes updates to the appendices of existing regulations and amendments to the delegation of powers to the State Tax Service, which will also allow for the approval of procedures for evaluating technological instructions and standards for natural evaporation of alcohol.
