Health Minister Kanibek Dosmambetov assured that the situation is under control.
He noted: “Kyrgyzstan is strengthening sanitary and quarantine measures and preventive actions. Special attention is being paid to passengers arriving from India, where cases of infection have been recorded. The President of the country has allocated funds from his fund for the installation of automatic stationary thermal imagers at international airports in Osh, Karakol, and Tamchy. Currently, such a thermal imager is only available at ‘Manas’. We must not escalate the situation. The virus is transmitted through physical contact, not by airborne droplets like COVID,” he added.
