The minister noted that the lack of modern methods and development in this area is one of the key reasons for the grim statistics. "Why do we have such alarming indicators in oncology? The answer is simple — the lack of progress. Our specialists are not developing, which leads to a high mortality rate. People are forced to sell their homes and go abroad for treatment, despite significant investments in the sector," he stated.
Kanybek Dosmambetov also shared his impressions from a recent meeting with Nurbek Bukuev, where they discussed the existing problems at the center. "I asked him what difficulties he faces. He replied that there are no problems. So, does he consider himself satisfied with his work? Or does he not want to see the real problems and, even worse, solve them? This indicates indifference to the system," he emphasized.
The Minister of Health concluded that without acknowledging the existing problems and a willingness to change, it is impossible to achieve improvements in the country's oncology service.
