He emphasized that the main focus of the CSTO is on fulfilling its mission — maintaining peace and stability in the area of responsibility, as well as creating conditions for the safe and prosperous development of the member states. To achieve these goals, the organization has all the necessary tools.
“We express particular concern about the approach of 'zones of instability' to the borders of CSTO member states. In the current circumstances, we continue to strengthen our influence in the key military-political structure,” he noted.
According to Masadikov, over more than thirty years of the Treaty’s existence, the member states of the CSTO have been able to prevent or mitigate numerous crises. He added that the organization continues to prioritize preventive political and diplomatic methods and is open to cooperation with those states and organizations that share its values and goals.
