Janar Akayev reminded about the significance of the bill
Today, during a parliamentary session, deputy Janar Akayev urged his colleagues to join the commission dealing with the rehabilitation of those repressed from 1918 to 1953.
He noted that the commission is already actively functioning, but it is necessary to include new deputies in its composition.
It should be reminded that the bill concerning the repressed was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh in November 2025, but later the president sent it back for revision.
According to one of the initiators, Janar Akayev, the goal of the bill is to rehabilitate citizens who suffered due to political and religious beliefs, as well as for social, national, and other reasons during the specified period.
