The girl posted information about her ex-husband on social media — his current wife saw it and a conflict ensued.
According to documents published in the State Register of Judicial Acts, Janara [name changed J.B.Ö.] was accused of committing a crime against human health.
The investigation established that on August 28, 2024, Janara's ex-husband K.R.M. and his current wife S.R. came to the house where Janara lived. They were unhappy that Janara had previously posted their photos and videos on social media. As a result of the ensuing conflict, Janara cut her ex-husband's wrist with a sharp object, causing him harm.
According to a forensic medical examination conducted on September 10, 2024, the victim sustained minor bodily injury, leading to a temporary health disorder.
During the court hearing, Janara did not admit her guilt and recounted the events of that day. She stated that on August 28, when she returned home, she received a message from S.R. on TikTok, expressing dissatisfaction without knowing about her existence. Later, S.R. and K.R.M. came to her parents' house, created a scandal, and beat her. Janara claimed that she did not harm her ex-husband, and he was merely trying to avoid paying alimony by making false accusations. She asked the court to acquit her.
The court, having heard all parties, including the testimonies of the accused, the victim, and witnesses, concluded that Janara's guilt was proven.
The victim, speaking in court, mentioned long-standing disagreements with Janara. He recounted that on August 26, 2024, she posted photos of him and his wife R.S. on TikTok, accompanied by offensive comments. This displeased R.S., and she sent Janara a message expressing her dissatisfaction. In response, Janara suggested deleting the post for money.
On August 28, when the victim and his wife arrived at Janara's house, a quarrel ensued between them. According to the victim, Janara attacked his wife and then ran out of the house with a kitchen knife and cut his arm. He requested the court to impose a strict punishment on her.
A witness present at the hearing stated that on August 26, she saw offensive posts about her husband and wrote to Janara asking how she knew her husband. In response, Janara suggested deleting the post for money.
On August 28, she came with her husband to Janara's house, where a conflict occurred during which Janara attempted to attack her husband with a knife, and he received a cut while trying to shield himself with his hand.
Janara's mother, speaking in court, noted that her daughter had often been subjected to violence by her ex-husband, which was the reason for their divorce. She mentioned that shortly before the incident, R.M.K. and R.S.S. had come and beaten her daughter, as well as subjected her to violence. The mother claimed that she did not see a knife with her daughter.
The court found the testimonies of the victim and witness R.S. sufficiently convincing to prove Janara's guilt in causing minor bodily harm.
The Kara-Suu District Court found Janara guilty under Article 136 ("Causing Minor Bodily Harm") of the Criminal Code and imposed a fine of 20,000 soms. The fine will be directed to the state revenue.
The measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave was left unchanged until the verdict comes into legal force; after that, the measure will be lifted.
Parties dissatisfied with the court's decision have the right to file an appeal with the Osh Regional Court through the Kara-Suu District Court within 30 days.
