The Mayor of Osh Scolded at the School: Ordered Inedible Pastries to be Taken Home by the Child
While inspecting the dishes in the school cafeteria, the mayor sharply criticized the state of the baked goods and the work of the staff. He noted: "Is this normal? Look at this stone bread! Take it home, let your child try it — they won't eat even two pieces. Is it acceptable to serve such samsa? Try offering this to the teachers — they won't eat it either. How can food be prepared in such a condition?"
Toktorbaev also demanded a complete inspection of the food preparation process, the quality of products, and compliance with sanitary standards. He emphasized that more than 1,100 children study at the school, and any violations in the area of nutrition are unacceptable.
Furthermore, the mayor pointed out the need to address the commercial facility located on the school grounds. He stated: "The school is a social facility, and any construction on its territory must be legal and approved. Check the documents and provide a complete package."
Jenishbek Toktorbaev reminded that earlier the municipality had strengthened control over school territories to prevent land grabs and illegal constructions.
Following the inspection, the relevant services were instructed to reassess the condition of the kitchen, equipment, storage conditions for products, and prepare a report on the legality of the commercial facility.
The city administration reported that it would inform the public about the measures taken.
