Hungary accepted Trump's invitation to join the "Council of Peace" on Gaza
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto noted that the country highly values Trump's efforts to establish peace and has high hopes for him in resolving conflicts in Gaza. In addition to Hungary, representatives from Italy have also received invitations and intend to play an important role in this initiative.
The "Council of Peace" is being created as an alternative body to the UN, which, according to Trump, is ineffective. The first test for the new structure will be resolving the conflict in Gaza. However, American officials have proposed expanding the council's tasks to include issues related to crises in Ukraine and Venezuela.
The U.S. announced the formation of a committee to manage Gaza (NCAG). Participation in the "Council of Peace" will require a contribution of $1 billion. Donald Trump, as the chairman of the council, will have the authority to invite and exclude members, as well as to block decisions and create new structures.
