The White House announced the establishment of a committee to manage Gaza as part of Trump's plan
The document emphasizes that the establishment of the NCAG is in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803, adopted in 2025, which supports the intentions of the U.S. President and welcomes the establishment of the Council for Peace.
According to the statement, the Council for Peace will provide strategic guidance, mobilize international resources, and oversee the fulfillment of commitments related to Gaza's transition to peace and development, as part of the 20-point Trump plan.
It is also reported that a founding executive council of the Council for Peace has been formed, which includes prominent figures such as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, the President's son-in-law Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, American billionaire Mark Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel.
Each member of this council will be responsible for specific aspects necessary for the stabilization and long-term development of the region. These aspects include the development of management skills, strengthening regional ties, restoring infrastructure, attracting investments, and mobilizing capital.
The responsibilities of the High Representative for Gaza have been assigned to Nikolai Mladenov, a Bulgarian diplomat. He will play a key role in coordinating the work of the Council for Peace and the NCAG, ensuring interaction between the entities involved in governance, reconstruction, and development in Gaza, as well as between civilian and security agencies.
