Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom discussed joint projects in various fields

During the meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Abakirov, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Kingdom in the country, Nicholas Boulter, joint projects covering various areas were discussed.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomats addressed numerous issues related to bilateral relations during the negotiations. The focus was on joint initiatives in areas such as:

• economy and trade;


• investments;


• mining industry;


• transport.

The parties also considered the possibility of cooperation with the British export credit agency UKEF.

Kyrgyzstan and the United Kingdom emphasized the importance of continuing an active political dialogue. Abakirov and Boulter agreed on the necessity of organizing mutual high-profile visits to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
