The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is concerned about the tightening of the U.S. visa policy and the introduction of additional requirements for Kyrgyz citizens.
During the meeting, issues related to the preparation for the "C5+1" forum, scheduled for February 4-5, 2026, in Bishkek, were discussed. Participants touched upon organizational aspects as well as the importance of the event for the development of regional dialogue and cooperation between Central Asia and the United States.
Ambassador Vigier emphasized that the new requirements are not directed against any specific country and align with the overall immigration policy of the United States, which takes into account compliance with visa legislation.
The parties agreed to continue joint efforts to find mutually acceptable solutions aimed at resolving current issues in the area of visa policy.
