According to him, recent years have become a topic of active discussion in society. Imankulov noted that he reviewed reports highlighting key achievements made over the past five years. Particular attention in the conversation was given to issues related to "Kumtor." Imankulov noted that the process of nationalization and transferring the mine under state control was extremely complex and required significant efforts. He also mentioned the results of the fight against corruption and measures aimed at ensuring the security of the country's borders.
The former State Secretary recalled the difficult negotiations and conflicts at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, including two serious incidents in the Batken region. In connection with the events of April 2021, the president involved Imankulov in the Security Council to leverage his experience in crisis conditions.
During the interview, special attention was paid to the fight against organized crime, which, according to Imankulov, has become more visible to society. He also noted significant changes in the defense sector, such as the modernization of weapons and heavy equipment, as well as the acquisition of new aircraft used to protect national interests.
Imankulov emphasized that previously the state could not afford such financial expenditures due to low tax collection and widespread corruption, resulting in billions of soms not reaching the state budget. However, the situation has improved: budget revenues have increased, allowing for higher salaries and pensions, as well as strengthening the material and technical base of government agencies, especially in law enforcement structures.
Furthermore, he noted that he has actively participated in these processes and has been part of the president's team for over four years. According to Imankulov, there are still many tasks ahead, and in the new year, the authorities plan to continue implementing large-scale reforms and projects.
