Maria was born on April 21, 2008, in the village of Kara-Suu, located in the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region.
“I started my education in 2015, enrolling in the first grade of A. Iskenderov Secondary School in Kara-Bulun, and since 2017, I have continued my studies at K. Karpekov Secondary School in Kara-Suu. Currently, I am in the 11th grade 'B' of this school,” she said.
According to Maria, she takes her studies seriously and actively participates in various educational and extracurricular activities. She is particularly drawn to the Kyrgyz language and literature, where she regularly demonstrates high results.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, Maria took first place at the district and regional levels of the Olympiad in Kyrgyz language and literature, participating in the republican stage. In the 2025-2026 academic year, she won second place at the district level, and first place at the regional and republican levels.
“My main goal is to receive a quality education and become a highly qualified specialist who can make a significant contribution to the development of the Kyrgyz language,” she noted.
The teacher who prepared Maria for the Olympiad, Asylkul Esenalieva, spoke about her student:
“I have been working with Maria for three years. Last year, we also took first places at the district and regional levels, but we were unable to achieve success at the republican stage.”
“Success does not come by itself. I was impressed by how everything went — honestly and professionally. We provided Maria with all the necessary knowledge, and she was able to demonstrate it,” she added.
“I even held classes on Saturdays; sometimes we studied all day long. Huge thanks to her parents, who supported all my requirements. Maria is a very capable student; in the ninth grade, she received a certificate with honors. She completed all my assignments on time. Moreover, she is persistent — last year, when she was unable to place, she was very upset,” concluded Asylkul Esenalieva.
