The IV (republican) stage of the school olympiad has started in Bishkek, gathering the best students from all over Kyrgyzstan. This information was provided by the Ministry of Education.
The opening ceremony of the event took place at the Chyngyz Aitmatov Lyceum, where the Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Jusupbekova, the Director of the Center for Assessment in Education and Teaching Methods Chynara Batrakeeva, the Deputy Director of the "Kyrgyzstan Maarif" Fund Kyialbek Akmatov, and other officials were present.
Speaking at the opening, Jusupbekova noted that the main principle of this olympiad is the recognition of winners who truly deserve it.
She emphasized that all participants have already achieved significant results by passing the qualifying stages.
“You have done a tremendous job and shown perseverance to be here. Each of you is already a winner. I am confident that you will show excellent results. You are the future of our country, the young generation that will contribute to the development of science and education,” she added, wishing the students success.
About 330 students who placed in the top spots at regional and city competitions are participating in the final stage of the olympiad.
The competitions are being held at several venues: at the Chyngyz Aitmatov Lyceum (mathematics, physics, history, computer science, geography), at the "Aichurok" Lyceum (Kyrgyz, Russian, and English languages), and at the I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University (chemistry and biology).
The olympiad will last for two days, and the awards ceremony for the winners will take place on March 30.
