He also noted that the work on optimizing schools continues in anticipation of the next academic year.
“Starting from the new academic year 2024–2025, according to the directive of the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan, we will begin the optimization of educational institutions,” Ergeshov noted.
In the current academic year, optimization has affected 9 schools in the region, distributed as follows:
1 school is located in the Aksy district;
1 in the Ala-Buka district;
5 in the Nooken district;
1 school each in the Toguz-Toro and Bazar-Korgon districts.
Before the optimization process begins, monitoring is usually conducted. The main focus is on the number of students, the capacity of educational institutions, and the safety of children while attending.
In the future, an analysis of the quality of education in these schools will be carried out. Currently, staff continue monitoring as part of the ongoing optimization,” added Sh. Ergeshov.
As of today, there are 155 public and 24 private educational institutions operating in the Jalal-Abad region.
In public schools, there are 17,238 teachers, and the number of students is 282,746.
