The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations has announced the second stage of grants from the Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) as part of the KIVO project. This was announced at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency by Deputy Minister Durus Kozoev.
Kozoev noted that the main goal of this project is to improve the quality of scientific research and adapt educational programs to the demands of the labor market. As part of this initiative, it is planned to create a center for research and innovation, as well as organize a competition for grants from the AIF. He also added that the project will cover three key areas.
“The first area includes increasing the relevance and quality of educational and research programs through the modernization of university infrastructure. The second area is related to increasing the research and innovation potential of universities through funding from the AIF. And the third area is strengthening the quality management system in higher education, including revising accreditation criteria and improving internal quality systems in universities,” clarified Durus Kozoev.
The Deputy Minister added that applications can be submitted by teachers and researchers from all universities in Kyrgyzstan, with priority given to projects led by women, as well as initiatives involving female students and representatives of vulnerable groups.
