The Ministry of Education and JICA Discussed Strategic Partnership in the Field of Education
In the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, a meeting was held with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education Lira Samykbaeva and Senior Education Advisor of JICA Murato Toshio.
The parties discussed new opportunities for cooperation in the field of education. In particular, representatives of the Ministry of Education proposed to enhance the development of inclusive education in schools, both through improving infrastructure and by training specialists working with children with special educational needs.
Plans for updating the material and technical base of vocational colleges and implementing elements of inclusive education into the vocational training system were also discussed. Significant attention was given to the professional development of teachers and experts working on the development of methodologies and standards, as well as issues related to the analysis and monitoring of education quality.
Lira Samykbaeva noted that the education system in Japan has significant experience and expressed gratitude to the agency for its support and opportunities for cooperation within the framework of international programs.
Murato Toshio, in turn, reported that JICA is developing a five-year strategic plan, in which education is one of the priority areas. After analyzing the proposals, key areas of interaction with the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic will be identified.
