The provision of schools with textbooks reached 84.4%, - Ministry of Education » Gazeta.kg

As of today, 84.4% of schools in Kyrgyzstan are provided with textbooks, as reported by Deputy Minister of Education Nadiira Jusupekova on March 2 at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which addresses issues related to science, education, innovative development, information technologies, culture, sports, and youth policy.

The Deputy Minister noted that in recent years, government funding for the publication of textbooks has significantly increased.

In particular, in 2020, 120 million soms were allocated for these purposes, which allowed for the release of 330,000 books. By 2025, the funding volume has increased to 856.4 million soms, enabling the publication of about 4.8 million textbooks.

According to Jusupekova, from 2017 to 2024, 3.74 million textbooks have been published and delivered to schools, and in 2025, approximately 4.8 million copies of educational literature will be prepared for educational institutions.
