"More than 300 Kyrgyz citizens have received education in Japan over 20 years, - Head of the Cabinet"

At the event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Japanese Grant Program for Human Resource Development (JDS) in Kyrgyzstan, the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, spoke.

According to the press service of the Cabinet, over the two decades, more than 300 Kyrgyz citizens have received education at prestigious Japanese universities such as Ritsumeikan, Meiji, Tsukuba, Hiroshima, and the Japan International University. The training covered a wide range of specialties, including public administration, economic policy, information technology, and international relations. Graduates are now successfully working in responsible positions in government structures, international organizations, and in the scientific field.

Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of continuing the program and noted that Kyrgyzstan draws inspiration from Japan's economic experience. He also reported that forecasts indicate that the country's GDP will grow by 11.1% in 2025, and the average annual real growth over the past four years has been 10.2%. "We are striving for an economic breakthrough, which we call the 'Snow Leopard Leap,'" he added.

In addition, the head of the Cabinet noted that Kyrgyzstan wishes to adopt the Japanese approach that combines state planning with business interests. He expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Japan, as well as to the organizations JICA and JICE for their ongoing support of the program.
